Lib Dem Leader Running for Barham Library again

Councillor Paul Lorber, the Leader of the Liberal Democrats on Brent Council is putting his running shoes once again to raise cash for the Friends of Barham Library second library in Sudbury Town Station.

Councillor Paul Lorber who ran in his first ever Marathon earlier this year in Bratislava the capital of Slovakia will this time take part in a 5km run around Wembley Stadium on 6 October 2013.

Paul’s target is to raise around £500 so that Friends of Barham Library can set up internet and WIFI at their new premises in Sudbury Town Station and offer computer access to local people.

“Brent Council expects residents to access Council services on line and yet Labour Councillors made this impossible for many people by closing half of Brent’s libraries including the one in Barham Park Sudbury.” says Councillor Paul Lorber who is once again back in training with Wembley’s Ironman Peter Corcoran.

Friends of Barham Library are urging local people to support the Councillor Paul Lorber in his latest effort by sponsoring him on line at or by sending a cheque made payable to Friends of Barham Library c/o 17 Stapenhill Road Wembley HA0 3JF.

One of Paul’s sponsors is Francis Henry of Daniels Estate Agents who said

“Paul Lorber is a fantastic supporter of the Library Campaign in Brent and deserves our support. Providing access to computers at Friends of Barham Library at our new premises in Sudbury Town Station will be a massive boost for local people. I urge all readers to make a small donation. All we need is 500 people to donate £1 to reach Paul’s target”.
Francis Henry of Daniels Estate Agents has started off Paul Lorber’s sponsorship with a donation of £20.00
